Services

Five things we do well, and nothing we don't.

We're a small desk on purpose, which means we say no to a lot of things. What's left is the work we're good at — and we'd rather refer you to a better fit than fake competence.

Supplier sourcing

Service 01

Supplier sourcing

Who it's for
Independent buyers who need a new category, a backup vendor, or a maker they haven't been able to find online.
What's included
We take a discovery call, then pull 4–6 candidates from our network of 300+ vetted suppliers. We brief you on each one — minimums, lead times, terms, and the awkward stuff (returns policy, who answers the phone).
Timing
Typical turnaround: 7–10 business days from intake call to candidate brief.

Vendor vetting

Service 02

Vendor vetting

Who it's for
Buyers who already have a supplier in mind and want a second opinion before placing a meaningful first order.
What's included
We verify EIN and reseller cert, pull D&B if available, call two existing buyers as references, and do a sample order on your behalf if you want it. You get a one-page report.
Timing
5–7 business days. Faster if the supplier responds quickly.

Private-label sourcing

Service 03

Private-label sourcing

Who it's for
Boutiques, grocers and gift shops looking to put their own name on a few products without committing to container minimums.
What's included
We surface small-batch American makers who do private label in runs of 100–500 units. We help you sketch the spec sheet, negotiate the per-unit price, and stage the first run.
Timing
3–8 weeks depending on category. Ceramics and textiles take longer than packaged goods.

Trade-show representation

Service 04

Trade-show representation

Who it's for
Makers who hate sitting in a booth, and buyers who can't justify the travel for the third year in a row.
What's included
For makers: we rep your line at NY NOW, the Buyers Cash & Carry market in Rochester, and select regional shows. For buyers: we walk the floor on your behalf with a written brief, then bring back a curated short-list.
Timing
Two to three weeks of pre-show prep, then on-floor time.

Freight & logistics coordination

Service 05

Freight & logistics coordination

Who it's for
Anyone whose first wholesale order arrived re-classed and twice the quoted price.
What's included
We help you set the right freight class, consolidate LTL where it makes sense, and pick a broker who won't ghost you. For repeat lanes (e.g. Pennsylvania → Buffalo) we maintain a short list of regional carriers we trust.
Timing
Per-shipment or ongoing. Most buyers retain us for the first 3–5 shipments, then handle it themselves.

Fees

How we get paid.

Buyers pay nothing to be in our network. Sourcing calls, candidate briefs, vendor vetting and freight advice are free.

Suppliers pay a placement fee only when an introduction results in a confirmed first order — typically 6–8% of that first PO, billed once. No subscriptions, no listing fees, no annual dues.

Trade-show representation and ongoing logistics work are quoted separately, by the day or by the lane. We'll always send a written estimate before we start.
